The Wreath is Done!

In the wise words of Medea, "halleluyer". :D Haha I love Madea (see youtube clip here).

I had to lean it against a window since I have no door to hang it on yet! Maybe next week :)

I got the pumpkins at Michaels for $1.50 a bag, for a total of $6 for 4 (after coupons). The moss is from a $1 bag from the Dollar Tree. The straw wreath form and ribbon are from Hobby Lobby for $2 each (after coupons). So a total of $11.

Not bad considering the inspirational Williams and Sonoma wreath is $99!!

I would also like to point out that hot gluing bits of moss down is HOT! My poor fingers. It's also tedious, it took me a few minutes to get the pumpkins on, but an hour to finish up the moss.

And yes since I stupidly picked un-wired ribbon, I had to have my Nana tie the bow for me :) Bow tying is a lost art I tell you! I can do it if the ribbon is wired but I can't do this type of twisty bow at all, sorry I can't tell you how!

It wasn't hard though, just hot glue the pumpkins down and then glue the moss in around the pumpkins so they're all nestled in. Leave a space for your bow and then go beg your Nana to tie it for you haha.

I did this while watching the Big Bang Theory, hence the engrossed look.

I tried to do a random pattern the whole time, it messed with my OCD for sure.

Ta Da! I'm pleased, it only took a few weeks ha :) Also, check out my Nana's sexy cherry hardwoods!

  1. Hot glue is NOT my friend! I am still scarred from the many crazy projects I have attempted... Your knock-off version of W&S's wreath is so fresh and sweet. I like all that space between the pumpkins. Great job at reproducing something quite over-priced. ~ Sue

  2. Your version of that wreath is AWESOME!! In fact, I prefer it - the colours are just so autumnal and vivid. Beautiful!

Thank you so much for linking up to my Fall In Love party.

  3. Oh, I just seriously adore this! I saw it over at the lovely Miss Sarah's party and had to come by and check it out. I can only imagine how painful that must have been using the hot glue on the moss...yikes! But it looks so gorgeous and I would love to try to make this myself sometime. I will sacrifice my fingers for the beauty of it! LOL!
